Was looking for a late 1980's to early 1990's Ranger as I just love the lines of those years. Not to mention how they compare to the new ones cost wise. I purchased a 1989 361V September 2010 from a guy in Blacksburg, Va. Boat was in great shape with a 1989 Yamaha 150 proV. We did a compression check and had 110 across all 6 cylinders. We cut a deal and I towed her home and went to work on the little things. Did order all new original color seat skins from Ranger as well as windshield, hatch gasket, and a few other small items. Took the railing harware off and had the fittings rechromed, bought a new stick of polished stainless and cut all new railings then installed with rechromed fittings. Bought 2 new chrome air bildge vents and 4 new chrome cleats. Bought a nice used original steering wheel off Ebay, 3 new batteries and 3 new tires and wheels. The carpet was replaced 2 years before I bought it. Had the carbs cleaned and she started right up. Damn thing runs like a top and I could not be happier. It's just a great fishing machine...been nailing Bass and Snakeheads on the Potomac River near DC. Absolutely can not wait till early Spring!!
