I just purchased a 1989 Mercury 135hp Sea Ray edition outboard and can't figure out how to order parts for it. I tried looking up parts by serial number but I can't find any. The only serial number I can find on the motor is C102157.
From what I can gather by my research is that it seems Sea Ray made their editions of Mercury motors from 1988-1990. I know my motor is a 1989 but when I search for parts online, I get several choices for model numbers for a 1989 Sea Ray 135hp. Problem is I have no idea what model outboard this is.
Should I just look for parts for a 1989 Mercury V135? On boats dot net, they do list "Sea Ray" parts under "Mercury" but then there are a handful of choices in motors. Don't know which to choose.
