I have a guy selling his project boat
engine too endis rebuilt and running (he sent a video of it on the lake) sounded good and looked strong

the floors need to be replaced and gas tank

he is asking for 2700
Any idea if this is something I should consider and restore it

it will at best need new floor/ tank/ carpet and upholstery , hopefully that’s all
It does come with a trailer which seems in the pics to be in decent shape

any thoughts if this thing is worth saving or is it trash ?

I don’t plan to do the work myself
I will find a shop to do the floor and an upholstery shop to do the interior work

anyone know what a ballpark price for that work would be ?

Thanks

No, run, dont walk, run away from any and all thoughts of the project in general and specifically any project that you arent doing most (all?) of the work yourself, including the deck (floor).

A new deck usually leads to a lot of stringer and foam work below decks and a transom replacement.

A shop might slap together something, forum has hundreds of poor results after paying a shop to do similar work, and they wont be remotely inexpensive.

Any good sound quality work will result in shop costs that are significantly more then the value of the boat when finished, so some shops wont even quote the work.

Dig into the forum topics, eye opening and educational. Look thru the posted pix of boats cut open w the hidden mess below decks.
