OK, I have been fretting about replacing the water pump for monts now and want to do this task myself. I have a factory OMC manual for my motor but still want to make sure I don't mess up.<br />I bought a brand new OMC impeller and it came with an o-ring. Does this o-ring go in the pump, or on the end of the drive shaft?<br />Also, I have discussed this job with at leat 15 people and I am told it's not hard. The manual calls for various types of sealants etc. What do I really need and where do I apply it?<br />The motor runs good and the pump works now but I want to do this as a preventive measure before the summer. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
