1989 Force 125hp-running temp

Hey campers,
Just wondering what the typical average running temperature for these motors? From prior experience; when I had the 120hp-the average running temp was hoovering around 145 degrees, but now with this 125hp it seems to run around 122-132. This is when running at idle for couple hours. Thanks and wash your hands

Are you comparing this with the same water temp? is the thermostat cycling OR stuck open?

Hey, The thermo is functioning just fine; I tested it. Im just wondering because this engine seems to be running somewhat cooler than the previous which by the way melted a piston

The 125 thermo, I believe it's a 110d
The 120 is a 130d

The melted piston: probably not from the thermo.
I'd check the port cover gaskets for bad gaskets, the recirc system fouled, many more?
