I am new to Iboats but spent some time looking through the 640 some pages of force threads to see if my problem was there, didn't find it so here it goes.

As I mentioned, I have a 1989 125 hp force that is not getting spark to #2 and #4 cylinders. I have swapped leads from 1 to 2 and 3 to 4 respectively and the problem switches to no spark on #1 and #3. So I know the coil packs are good. I have disconected the brown/blue wire from pack #1 with no change, and then brown/blue from pack #2 again no change. I have replaced the stator, still no spark on #2 and #4.

The all the trigger leads ohms out at little above 47. (i know the book says 48-52, but it test same for all cylinders and the two have great spark)

Does anyone know what the problem is or have an idea to try? I appreciate any and all help I can get.

Thank for the link. Will hopefully be able to try to do some testing on it this weekend, And will fill out the profile too. Is a good point about maybe being close to someone who is smart on these things. Thanks again, hope to update soon.

First off sorry took so long to get back, haven't had much time to work on the boat lately. Found out my problem was that my engine and wires were mislabled or wired incorrectly. says in book to disconnect brown/blue wires from pack when working with #2 and #4 cylinders but mine is wired to the brown/yellow. took me a while to figure that out and that was what was causing all my head ache. once I figured that out I disconnected one of the brown/yellow wires and got spark on all 4. replaced the bad power pack and runs great on the hose, still have to take it to the lake for a test run.

Thanks to jerryjerry05 for your help. I sure appreciate it.
