1989 evinrude 90 HP lower unit

Just drained my lower unit in preparation of changing the water pump later this week and the lube came out cream colored. The manual says this is bad. <br /><br />What does this mean?

It has water mixed in with it.<br /><br />Change the fluid and replace the fill/drain plug gaskets. Those are the most likely places for water ingestion.
