Hi, I have a 1989 Evinrude 50hp VRO. I removed the VRO pump and replaced it with a premix pump. The new pump is for a 1995 50hp premix. The reason I went with this pump is because it has a third nipple that will accept my existing pulse hose from the engine (which went to the old VRO) The thing is, the intake manifold housing where the pump is supposed to be mounted to has a 1" hole. I'm assuming this is for the pulse opening for a 1989 50hp premix pump, because those pumps do not have a nipple for a pulse hose. Should I seal that hole? It doesnt appear to serve any other purpose.
Thanks,
Bob
