Well i have officially bought a boat. Not bad for the price and needs some work. Right now as we sit it has a supercharged 454 .60 over. Also has 990 rectangular cast heads. Has a cracked block due to improper winterizing. I bought a new block, im not crazy about the .60 so im going to go with a .30 on the virgin block. Having trouble finding a new set of forged blower pistons for the rotating assembly. Im trying to find out if anyone knows of a good piston and ring or part number i.e. scat, probe, j&e??? Also felpro head gaskets. i was going to have a local shop rebuild the motor using all of my internals and dyno and tune the motor but they want $5500!!!!! THATS CRAZY in my mind. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Je, ross, kb, weisco, sealed power, speed pro... any one should have a set of blower pistons for you. Prolly speed pro will be best for the money. You can get a forged coated skirt pison for like $50 ea. Call summit or your favorite parts house and they should be able to hook you up with some part numbers and prices.
