I had the same problem with gauges on my 1989 2955. I found some gauges that were the same size but without the square outer bezel on ebay. I was able to remove the bezel from my old gauges and install on the new gauges. Several of the plastic clips broke during the process and I used super glue to hold the bezels in place. Be sure when using super glue around the new gauges to use a fan to disperse the fumes or the plastic will be etched with any finger print that they have on them. They use the chemicals from super glue to look for finger prints at crime sites that are in doors. Look under "Faria tachometer gauges" on ebay. Great Lakes Skipper is the seller. Since I could not find a speedometer of the same size, I removed the lense from one of the tachometers to put on my old speedometer. Hope this helps.
