Im considering replacing blown 96 112 johnson outboard with a re-built 1990 hp yamaha. Seller is only asking $1400 for outboard, controls & prop ready to install. Good thing is he is about 60 miles from me and I can go see this motor run. Claims he rebuilt motor and sounds real confident on his work.
Cost to rebuild my johnson, will probably easily exceed $1400 and this will put me on the water sooner. Next post will be, will a 90hp yamaha be enough power for a 19' wellcraft center consel?
