1989/90 5hp Mariner - No pee hole? (New Impeller on it).

S/N 0D903090 Is it possible there is no peehole? No holes under the engine head, but there is two small exhaust holes midway down the shaft pointing outwards. Would these serve as the pee holes for this engine? I can't seem to find anything relevant on this engine. Thanks.....
