Recently purchased a 1989 80hp 3 cylinder 2 stroke outboard. I’m having trouble finding the trim switch on the outboard itself. Was their ever trim switch on the outboard? I only have a trim switch on the throttle handle. I’ve tried looking at diagrams and parts but can not find anything. If anyone could point me in the right direction or shows pictures that would be much appreciated. Thanks.

IF…. It had one. Side of the lower cowl.

One can be easily added if needed.

those engines did not came with a trim and tilt switch because of the butterfly cowlings I personally like those cowlings because you can take them of in a few seconds and service your engine very easy because everything is out in the open you can still ad a switch with a quick connect if you want but some cutting and drilling into the cowling is required
