1988 yamaha 225 excel

Runs great wot. Won't idel in neutral. Have to use choke to crank and keep bumping it to keep it running.

carbs pilot/idle jet/passages plugging is my thoughts

Anything like sea foam or carb cleaner help?

Last week I changed out the oil reservoir pump. If trash got in the oil line going to the motor, could this be how the jet got plugged? Motor runs 39 mph on a 23 ft Stamas at 5500 rpm ,but put in neutral, starts loosing rpm at 700 and stalls. If I stay at 1400 it runs fine.

pilot screws on carbs. I've owned one of these motors since new, lmk if you still have it
