Please help? I replaced the selonoids on my outboard and now I have no movement at all. I jumped the selonoids with a screw driver and it worked that way. Is my switch on the trottle bad? Can I just replace the switch or do I have to replace the whole thing. It worked before I replaced the selonoids. The switch does seem a little weak. Please help.

Have you unscrewed the switch and taken a look at it? Its a very simple switch. Perhaps you could see a loose or burnt wire.

Not yet, I ran out of daylight. I am just trying to get a heads up before I go further. I will check for loose or broken wires. Thanks

First test wiring from box to solenoid for easy fix.If ok then its probably switch.I cleaned my switch though its better to replace switch.Usually have to dismantle box and remove handle to get at switch.
Post pic so we know what box you have.I think we have same motor 88 135hp.
