Hello,

I just purchased a 1988 Invader 16" with a Volvo Penta 4 cyl engine. I have been working on restoring the boat and am just about finished. I tried to start up the motor today, and it would run just for a second or two using carb cleaner. I checked the fuel line, and there is no gas being sucked from the tank.

When I turn over the engine, should I feel suction on the fuel pump with my finger? Is there a way to rebuild the fuel pump or do I just need to buy a new one? Another question I have about the engine is the impeller system. I believe this is on the front of the motor? Anyway, the guy I bought the boat from told me that he thinks there may be some "junk" in the impeller water line that needs to be flushed out. Does anyone have any details on this process?

Last question is regarding the seats. I have found several websites that sell the back-to-back reclining seats, but none of them exactly match the dimensions of the original seat. Has anyone tried these replacements?

Thanks for your time, I really do appreciate your help...

Tommy
