Hello, I have a 88 mercury 60hp that has no spark on any cylinder. I've followed CDI trouble shooting guide and everything is in spec except the trigger. The voltages are 4-6v on all three grounded to either the black wire or engine ground. The ohm reading is where it goes wrong. Grounded to the black wire all are in spec when grounded to the engine they all read 15.2k ohms. The guide says they should read open. I'm assuming that that means the trigger is shorted to ground but wanted a second opinion before I jump at buying a trigger. Just seems odd , most troubles I've read on triggers seem to relate to a single cylinder problem not complete loss. Any help, opinion, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
