I just bought a 1988 mercury 35 hp, 20", remote, manual tilt motor that is mounted on a 16' Sea Nymph-nice older boat and motor. I would like to have power trim and tilt. Can I retrofit a mercury unit on this motor and if so what would be the part numbers and how difficult to install? It seems that factory tilt/trim components are EXPENSIVE. That being the case would it be better to go with an aftermarket tilt unit such as a CNC, it might be less expensive than the factory components. From what I see the CNC unit seems like it would be pretty easy to install. Thanks to all who can help!
