Can anyone tell me what voltage the regulator is supposed to deliver?

I'm getting 13.5 at idle and 14 at 1000 rpm. Then I get higher and higher readings when wide open - 15 to 16 volts.

None of my gauges seem to work correctly - trim and temp never move - tach sometimes reads 1000's high - even voltmeter is off.

16 volts sounds too high. Does not have the manual with me, but if my memory serves me you should have close to 14...

I'll look into it later - how is your battery? Getting hot when you're running? The 16v is above the normal operating power for your gauges (not the voltmeter, ofcourse) and may be a hazard to other equipment as well.

Ooops! I didn't see that someone had replied before that last post. Thanks for the tip. I haven't noticed heat in the battery- but I think I am going to replace the regulator because that may solve several problems. Otherwise this motor has been marvellous!! :)
