I've got a 1988 maxim with a 5.0. Replaced motor because of cracked block. Came time to start and no spark. Followed the procedures on here and I determined I needed module pickup sensor replaced. New sensor has bullet connectors. Old module had posts. My white green wire from shift interupt went to the sensor post. Can I just run that to the neg side of coil and fasten there and have it work properly. I am new to the boat world. I am fairly knowlegable with engines. Just don't want to fry my new module. Anyone with Advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Howdy

Look at the parts in the kit, you will find some screws, nuts and shrink tubing. You take the screws and nuts and use them to attached to the old wiring terminal lugs. Then use the shrink tubing to cover over the screws. Then use the bullet connectors and connect
