Hi just bought my first boat 10 days ago, new to that hoby.
Yesterday evening returning to the dock, my boat didn’t answer foward reverse when on the throttle lever.
open the lid of the engine and realize that the bolt that hold the ajustements of the cable on the top of the head cover top off, so no need to say no more respond from the cable to the lever, i was able to stay calm and bring the car back to the deck and on the trailer.
For that bolt to have top off i have the impression that the ajustement of the cable was probably not right.
I am tring to find detailed info of the ajustement for that cable. Any link would be appreciated, pict attach

I am car mecanic for more than 20 year, that why i have choosen a inboard engine.

Thank you

nick

Click on the link "My Videos" at the bottom of my post. In there you'll find a link to a cable adjustment video.
