1988 Merc 115 Carb/intake Question

Hi there - kind of a continuation of an older post where my motor is not idleing and or getting the boat on plane. Not running past 3k RPM when in gear.

My question is: I have 3 carbs, do all carbs work together into 1 common intake manifold? Or does each carb individually manage 2 cylinders?

The reason I ask is when I was spraying power tune into each carb, only the top and bottom carbs caused the motor to bog vs. the middle carb which caused NO difference in engine RPM when Power Tune was sprayed into the carb.

TX!

Behind each carb on the crank is the reed block and each carb feeds 2 cylinders. If the engine didnt respond when sprayed into carb as stated you either have no spark or compression on 3&4.

I found the problem, and just this once I'm happy to say its my fault. ;-)

I had disconnected all plug wires when changing out water pump, and switched up cylinders 3&4. Motor runs great now.

Tx for the reply
