1988 johnson 90 hp loosing spark on one cyl

I have gone thru 3 coils on one cyl. Question Will a bad power pack still provide ignition to only one cyl or would it take out both. [/LIST]

Hi Goose,<br />Are you sure that you have a good ground on that coil? It should have a star washer next to the grounding strap on the bolt that goes thru to mount the coil. I won't say that it couldn't happen but I have never heard of a pack taking out three coils.
