1988 johnson 30hp missing now and then at wot

my well mate has owned it since 1990 and this work horse has well over 8000 hours of run time on her..compression is 115-110..the power pack has been replaced 3 times now all cdi (2001,2005,2010)..it starts up and purrs when he is trolling and most of the power band,its having a hard time getting on plane but once its up its fine but misses from time to time..any suggestions where to start

That's going to be a tough one, you are going to have to trouble shoot the system when it is acting up.
In the past I have found coil and wire problems by using a spray bottle with water in it and spraying the coils and wires while I had it running on the muffs.
