i was reading a few posts in regards of carb cleaning. i do my carbs every year in spring to assure no sand or crud is in my system.

came to determine alot of ppl stating about a Oring inside the seat. i never saw a oring in the seat i actually have a needle with polymer tip. one is red the other is black. is that normal or is that a Mcgyver setup

thanks

Most of the TC carbs used a press-in seat with a rubber-tipped needle. Some of the smaller WB carbs used the same system but many had a screw-in seat which held a small rubber disc like a tiny hockey puck at the bottom end. The needle was solid and seated against the disc.
