1988 Force 125 pivot screw

removed clutch pin from lower unit instead of drain plug. what damage have i done? the manual says its not good and i put it back immediately.

today i put motor into forward and reverse with no discernable problem, is it possible the pin found its proper seat?

if nothing was shifted or the prop or drive shaft was not turned you are probably okay. First time out I would stay near the landing and have a back up trolling or kicker motor or some kids to row. If it dont give you grief on first time out it is probably okay. When you get it in the lake play with forward reverse and neutral gears a lot.

You got lucky.....that bolt is the shift fork pivot. If it shifts, you are ok
