1988 FORCE 125-NOT FIRING ON NO.3CYL

jUST GOT THIS BOAT. IT WAS GAVE TO ME.CHECKED<br />COMP.-150 # ON ALL CYL. 1-2-4 ARE FIRING.CHECKED<br />WITH GAP TESTER REAL STRONG ON THESE CYL. No.-3 is dead.....<br />I am thinking the coil is bad.it has the preso-lite set-up on it they are blue and so are the cd<br />boxes. also when you pump the fuel bulb fuel runs out both carbs. is this normal????<br /><br />Any info will be greaty app.<br />Thanks Randy-in MEMPHIS

I guess I would test to see if you have juice going into the coil from the cd unit, before I replaced the coil.<br /><br />Easiest way is to swap 2 of the coils.<br />Swap the #1 coil with the #3 coil.<br />If the #1 plug now will not fire, then the coil is bad.<br />But if the problem stays on the #3 plug, then your cd unit is not outputting to the coil.

Has the same carb problems on my 125... you'll need a couple of re-build kits, the needle valve is not seating correctly. Take the time to make sure the float is adjusted correctly, it make all the difference in the world!<br /><br />Jeff

Thanks (roscoe) checked coils liked you said.<br />swaped to NO.1 and it would not FIRE.I am going to replace coil. <br /><br />Thanks for info.will let you know the outcome.<br /><br />Randy in Memphis
