I have an opportunity to trade my Sylvan V196 openbow for a much needed cabin cruiser (our son has autism and needs a place to crash). My biggest issue is, I have no idea where to start when it comes to the prop. The motor is the 5.7L GM and the OMC Cobra outdrive. As I said, it is a 1988 Bayliner Ciera 2155 Sunbridge, and that's all I know. I do have a Mercury Vengeance stainless steel prop that is 14.25" X 19 pitch, but I don't know if that's going to overpower or under power the engine. Typical boating is 50 puonds of gear and 400-500 pounds of people and your guess is good as mine fuel weight.

Does your Mercury Vengeance prop have the Flo Torque replaceable hub? If so, you can use Mercury's hub kit # 835267Q1 to put it on the OMC drive.

The same prop numbers are listed for the Mercruiser/OMC Cobra drives. The difference is the hub number.

The prop selector comes up with either a 15.5 X 18 (aluminum) or the 19 pitch Vengeance for your application.

The WOT rpm range is 4200-4600 rpm.

The Bayliner's dry weight is listed as 3125 lbs.
