I have a 1988, 70 hp, 3cyl, 2 stroke motor. I purchased it 2 years ago and since then have been doing some PM that I believe was neglected. I rebuilt the carbs, replaced components in the water pump and a number of other things. I am amazed at how difficult it is to find out simple information from the web and directly from the people at Mercury.
Now my latest problem is I cannot get a straight answer about fuel lines. From the fuel pump to the top carburetor, from the fuel pump pulse to the manifold and from the fuel enrichment pump to the top carburetor. Next is the fuel line from the top carburetor to the middle carburetor and then the bottom.
As for the lines from one carb to the next I tried 3/16th and they leak. From what I can see it looks like the best fit is 5/32nd.
Any advice on this post would be greatly appreciated.
