I run a 1988 35 hp merc on a lake that is 8000' elevation. I recently bought the boat in San Diego so it is jetted for that elevation or has stock jets and obviously runs rich at 8000'. Are there an adjustment screws on the carbs that will lean out the motor a little or do I have to re-jet the carbs? I trailer the boat to other lakes in southern Utah that are at lower elevations so I would rather not re-jet. I did not get a manual with the motor so any advice, especially with photos would be appreciated. I bought a 9 pitch prop and am testing it out this weekend, this should get my RPM's up. Any other high altitude outboard advice would also be appreciated.
