First question: My motor is a 1988 DT-200 Exante. Is that a DTS-200 then?

Second question: Does anyone know where I can purchase parts online for this monster?

Third: My digital output trim tilt guage is stuck on 50. How can I troubleshoot the problem. I think it is the sending unit. I checked the voltage change at the guage and found no changes as I changed the motor position. Where can I get a new sending unit online.

And Lastly: My RPM limits out at around 5300. I have just read a post and figured out I had the wrong plugs in (not resister type). I think I may have the wrong prop but can't seem to find a chart to find the correct size for my boat.

I would appreciate any and all help on these matters.

Thanks,
D.J.

There was a change from 88 to 89 on the plugs, but I thought it was only the caps that got the resistors??

Your RPM's probably has more to do with your prop selection for the boat.

I have an extra sending unit that I will sell reasonably.

The Exante might be known as either the 200S or 200V.

I checked with Napa a while back and their prices were pretty good for the NKG plugs for this motor.

don't know what prop your using or the hull the motor is on or what load condition you are reporting the rpm at so we need more info.

if your reported rpm is with full gas and water/bait tanks and full passenger load and dirty bottom, i'd be inclined to leave it alone...

if on the other hand this is when you have only 10 gallon's of fuel left, and no one but yourself in the boat with a spotless bottom and flat calm water, then its time to play with your prop.

tell us more about your combo
