1988 15hp evinrude keeps stopping???

Hi all, my 88 evinrude has been in storage for a about a year now and I fixed the water pump already this summer and everything else looked good. But when I got it out on the water, about five minutes later it just stopped dead... no sputtering or anything. Then it would start fine but just keep on stopping. I was thinking that it might be the wiring in the kill switch since it just stopped dead?<br />Thanks for any help,<br />D. Johnson

Is your fuel tank vent open? What happens if you pump the primer bulb?<br /><br />What does your telltale look and feel like?<br /><br />Red sky at night. . . .<br />JB

I have the vent open... but I haven't tried squeezing the bulb because it dies so suddenly... as if the kill button has been pressed??<br /><br />Dave
