My force 125 starts every year but this year it has no water spitting so I am thinking the Impeller is needing to be replaced. I have no clue as to how or where to get one for that age engine nor do I have an Idea how to replace it. Can anyone help?

Yes, but for starters, it is always better to have the manual. You can find them on ebay for about $20. The impeller is going to be located on the very top of the lower unit. So it simply consists of removing the lower unit, remove the impeller housing and voila, the imeller. The sierra part number is
18-3251. Now, when you remove the exhaust snout, there is a hidden screw within the exhaust that needs to be removed in order to remove the lower unit. Also, when installing the impeller it is slightly oversized and off center. The veins will be bent in a certain direction, be sure you install it the same way and lightly grease the inside of the impeller housing and the impeller before assembly. An extra pair of hands will assist in putting it back together. When lining up the drive shaft you may need to put it in gear, turning the prop while in gear will turn your driveshaft to line it up directly. Ther is also a small cotter pin in the shift rod that needs to be removed before dropping the lower unit. It's a fairly simple process, just remeber the cotter pin and the screw in the exhaust, the rest you will see for yourself. Have fun and good luck!!!

I am changing out a water pump and impeller on my motor as well and its the same motor (1988 Force 125)... Got everything apart and going to put it back together. My question is when putting the impeller back in being that it over sized the fins will be facing in a certain direction. Does it matter which way the impeller fins are facing ?? If so, how do I know which way they go..

Makes NO difference.Just grease them up.Even if you don't use grease they will orient themselves.
When changing the impeller you should check and change the oil in the lower unit.Make sure that you drain from the very bottom. There is a screw on the side that will be costly if removed.See pic.J
