I am possibly looking to purchase the boat presented in the title. It has been sitting since 2002 (or at least that is the last time it was registered to be on the water). Has a newer(looks like it has never been used) motorguide 54# thrust trolling motor on it. Woman bought for her husband, husband fell ill and they have lived in Florida since. The boat has not been stored indoors, and it needs some work. My buddy lives on the farm in which the boat sits(renting from the couple). It has had to deal with Ohio weather. Buddy told me that I should offer $500 in cash and that since they have not came back that he would bet they would take it. I know that there is some work (probably a lot) to be done to it, but I willing to give it a go in order to be a boat owner.
Does anyone on here have any advice, details, concerns, pitfalls, or possibly owns one of these models?

Let me know what you all think! I'm willing to hear the good the bad and the ugly.

Much appreciated,

Its more than likely its going to look like this under everything. Mine is an 84 and was a mess, everything was rotten. If you can get it for $500 go for it. I paid $800 for mine without a motor, the PO should have paid me $800.
