1987 searay seville engine swap

ok I just bought a searay seville, it has a 3.0l in it that runs fine, just not alot of poer. The boat is great and I ont think I could find another like it. What im wanting to know is can i change the 3.o out fo a 4.3 engine?

ooppss also tha fuel gauge jumps around all the time, what should icheck first?

I have a 1999 model seville 18 with the 4.3. it was an option from new so i see no reson for yours not to be suitable, unless the boat is a smaller one. Does around 50 mph with a 21 pitch Lazer ll on it. As for your gauge do you have over half a tank of fuel they do tent to wobble around with boat motion when there is not much in the tank.
