I need some sage advice...I have a Mercury 135 hp that has no spark on #2 and #6 cylinders...Cranks fine and idles fine but when you try to take off it bogs down...after about 5 minutes or so of the bogging it sounds and feels like the other two cylinders kick in and it takes off running like new and works fine the rest of the day...I've changed the plugs with no change in performance...The previous owner had the injector pump removed in order to insure the motor got oil...any suggestions before it makes the trip to the mechanic? lgreenrn@hotmail.com[/EMAIL]

Lgreen, you are gonna buy some parts, no matter what.....with 2 cylinders down, my first guess would be a switch box that is failing....maybe 2 coils on the way out...possibly a trigger[but unlikely]...a shop manual with cranking dva tests, ohm tests and a dva/voa meter [avail at your local dealer for about $100]will get the answer you want.....
