Hmm anyone have a service manual for a 1987 454 mag carbed with a alpha drive laying around...

Yeah, I've got one. It's Service Manual #9, same as all the V8's for that year, what are you look for?

1987 mfg mirage 217 intruder..i looked in adult's only and boatinfo. Serial numbers are unreadable it is all stock however.

Boatinfo has #9, it's the manual for all V8 engines 85 to 88.

You mentioned closed cooling, what exactly are you looking for. It may not even be in the manual.

The engine has closed cooling and it may sound simple but i have no experience with the system. I just want to get it right the first time...I can just see myself thinking its done and its not...Not that has happened before. LOL i need to drian it..

PS, the "draining precaution" tells you to let it cool off so you don't burn yourself.

Like a car, if the engine is hot, you could burn yourself with hot antifreeze when taking the heat exchanger cap off. So be careful
