Hello, Does any one know what tire size belongs on my trailor? It is a 1987 ezloader. When I bought it the guy has 235-75-15 light duty tires on it with car rims . The boat that sits on trailor is about 1600lbs.d:)

personally I would put the on the bigggest that would fit under the fender. Spins less so therefore you are less prone to bearing failure. And, tire capacity is just like battery capacity... you can never have to much. And make sure they are designated trailer tires. They have thicker sidewalls since they are not needed to steer. Will not bounce as much and the trailer is less likely to sway.

Actually, you are better off a little closer to what should be on there. Maybe one size bigger. The tire helps absorb some of the road shock.

I would ask ezloader what tire came with your trailer and go from there.

The current tire size is fine and will handle a boat a fair bit heavier than what you currently have. The tire "type" is not. You should have tires designated "ST" (special trailer).

Ok, I have another question: the trailor sits pretty low in back and does not have much clearance from fenders with the 235-75-15 tires on it, should I move the leaf springs to the lower holes on my shackles? Thanks, Jim

that may help, but you should level your trailer when towing with a drop reciever hitch. trailer should be level when towed.
