Hi all.87 evinrude wont get past 3200 r.p.m.s.Removed silencer, and with engine idling on muffs saw gas spitting out of top carb adjustment screw.Or what i think is the idle speed screw.I also noticed gas drip from the little red manual choke on the motor when i moved it back and forth.I read all the posts on power loss and did things that were recommended.This motor always idled rough and stalled when putting it in gear.Power pack is new.Tach went out on me last week and i replaced it.water pump is new.Does it sound like carb rebuild time. 1987 evinrude 40 hp disabled vro,model# E40elcud Thanks.
