1987 evinrude 60 hsp

Hi everyone..new to the forum and just picked up a boat cheap fro fishing with my three sons. The motor is a 87 evinrude 60 hrs and i dont know a thing about it. the serial number is OTCP636115. Does anyone know how to tell me a little more about it. It has been sitting for a while and i need to find out what model this is so i can get the proper lubricantts to change the lover unit gear oil ect. also there is a vro pump that is unplugged..what is the vro pump and its functions? is it oil injected or what ? any help is greatly appreciated to get this thing up and running. it will be nice to get tthe boys away from the cell phones,computers, video games and tv..and all the pther crap i never had when i was growing up that is now a necessity.

A correct model # would really help. Look on your port stern bracket.

i dont see the model number anywhere...any other ideas where i can find the modle number?

Maybe somebody else will chime in with more info as the model # doesn't make any sense to me.

Take the cover off, look on the top rear of the motor, next to the lifting ring. There's a round plug there, and the number should be stamped on there. If it's not where boobie says, then the tag was probably removed.
