Might have a weak fuel pump due to leaking pulse hose, diaphragm pierced or leaking fuel lines. At lower revs it seems that it just does not pump enough fuel. Once at higher revs via primer, the pump pressure is adequate to maintain rpm's

Hey lost....

After the inital priming of the fuel system, the primer bulb will be soft after the engine is started and is running.

Sounds like a vac. leak to the fuel pump to me. Curious as to the fuel pump rebuild. Usually when the VRO is disconnected, all that needs done is to disconnect the oil line from the engine and cap the connection on the lower engine pan. What did you rebuild?

Thanks.
