1987 Evinrude 110 no wot, no power, running rich

It's an Evinrude E110tlcur 110 horse. I have had this outboard for a week yesterday. Took it out yesterday and it ran great for about an hour. Then it bogged down, and it has no power at all in the water. On muffs it will rev out to the moon, if I let it.

Here is what it is doing. It is kinda hard starting, and it is tempemental at idle. It will shift into gear, both reverse and forward. It will accelerate a little, about 2200 rpms. But nothing after that. Thats as high as she'll go. I know I'm getting fuel, I can both see and smell it.

When I try to throttle up past 2200 the tach starts going nuts too.

I am wondering is my timing is not advancing? It doesn't cough or sputter or sneeze. It just has no power.

Start with the basic checks, compression and spark. If they are both good, I would pull the high speed jets and check them, if plugged remove carbs and overhaul.
