Have a 1987 sunrunner that has 290a single prop drive and had an aq151b. My uncle killed the motor and gave me the boat. Motor was replaced with b230 out of car. Boat is mechanically sound but seems underpowered running 32mph top with 3 different props. Im sure the hull has gained some weight from sitting outside for a few years. It seems that a gm based 350 could bolt to this drive with some different parts. Was hoping somebody could list anything I might need that isn’t obvious such as manifolds y pipes bell housing etc. or any other swap options. Could always go to the aq171 but 350s have parts readily available on hand at parts stores. Any knowledge would be appreciated.
