(1987) 70 HP yamaha 2 stroke won't stay running, slowly goes to idle

Seller told me the engine runs fine most of the time, then slowly goes from top speed to an idle.

Wondering what could be the problem? is it a easy fix or expensive fix?

BTW, it is oil injected or mix?

If you're trying to decide on buying the motor or not, I would say not.
