1987 60hp Mercury Won't Start

Boat ran great in morning, sat in water for about 3 hours, cranks over but won't start, Checked spark which was good , pulled gas filter line off cranked engine over and gas came out, cleaned all 3 plugs but it still won't start any suggestion's .Thank you in Advance

Sure sounds like a carb issue to me. When was the last time the carb or carbs were rebuilt and a kit installed? Sounds like it is time... JMHO!

I agree, it sounds like you have everything needed for it to at least start up. I don't think you would lose compression in three hours, but it may be worth testing compression while you are investigating.

Sounds like an air lock between the filter and the carbs. Did you try using the squeegee to see if you've lost prime?
