1987 4.3L V-6 mercruiser 205 H.P. Missing at a cruise

I have twin 4.3L LX 205 H.P. (1987) mercruiser sterndrives

My port engine misses when I am cruising around 3800 RPM's

I have replaced the following:
Ignition coil, spark plugs, Plug wires, Rotor & Cap.
The only thing left that I know of is the pick up coil in the distributor and the igntion box.

Timing is set a 8 degrees BTC at 750 RPM's and also advances as teh RPM's go up.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Ayuh,.... My guess is the carb is leanin' out right at that point...

Try changin' the fuel filter 1st,... Inspect the take-off's contents for crud, 'n water...
