Just got to use this outboard for the first time yesterday. Ran great for 20 minutes at various RPM including near top speed. Came to a stop and engine stalled. Opened lid to find that the throttle plate was lodged overtop the neutral lever, preventing the motor from switching out of gear into neutral, and pull cord was also therefore stuck. The twist grip throttle was returned to the lowest position, but for some reason the throttle plate was not returning to its correct position, and was jamming the neutral lever. I was able to manually move the throttle plate back to its correct position and free up the jammed neutral lever, but any ideas why this is happening??
Thanks!
