1986 yamaha 150 pro v oil questions

i have a 1986 yamaha 150 pro v outboard. i think it's using to much oil. I had it out yesterday and ran it about 6 miles and used whole tank of 2 stroke oil. please help

make sure it is all going into the fuel system and not leaking out somewhere else.
and then make sure your linkage is set properly

The oil on that motor never gets into the fuel system. You may need to adjust the oil pump, a manual or a dealer can help you find the specs. It could be the under the hood tank has to much pressure in it. I would buy a manual and do the proper trouble shooting.
Was the motor smoking a lot?
Is there oil running out of the motor anywhere?
Oil in the boat anywhere?

What do the spark plugs look like? Sounds like you have a leak especially if the motor isn't smoking a lot. Other than using a lot of oil how is the motor running?
