1986 yamaha 115 rebuilding carbs

i have a 1986 yamaha 115 and i want to rebuild<br />or clean the carburetors.<br />i have never rebuilt the carburetors and would like to atempt it.<br />i have a shop manual and all the tools but i don't have any type of analyzers or test equipment. i am a electronics technician by trade and am very mechanicly inclined.<br />i want to be able to do my own repairs and maintenance without spending a lot of money on service.what type of equipment would be needed to do this type of job and how difficult is it.<br />any guidance and words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

What type of analyzers are you thinking of? Just buy a carb rebuild kit, a can of carb cleaner and go to town! Some people get a needle and syringe to get in those tiny pasages. Also, if you are using any compressed air, be careful. If there are any small metal chips or debris, you could force them further into the passages.
