im getting a constant alarm, i thought it was overheating because of a blown head gasket. i replaced the head gasket and took it out. seem to get worse, before i could run around 30 mph and no alarm, but now soon as i get down on it alarm starts.took both thermastats out put them in water and they open up at 150 deg. close the same. im leaning towards fuel pressure drop? does the primer solienoid run all the time are cut out at a certain rpm?

That is indeed a fuel pressure alarm. The primer only works when you push the key in.

There is a fuel restriction somewhere forward of the fuel inlet nipple on the motor. It could be a clogged vent, a sticking anti-siphon valve, a clogged fuel pick up, a kinked or pinched fuel line, a plugged or restricted filter and so on.
